My titleist wedges are now beginning to show signs of wear and tear so looking to renew. Tempted to go to Mizuno for a change. Anyone tried out the new Mizuno wedges - is there much of a difference between the two?

I have them both in 52&56. I put the mizzies in the bag at christmas and took them back out last weekend and put the vokeys back.
The mizzies are cleaner looking,but do not go as far for me so the cocked up my bag in the short irons. I find the vokeys easier to hit and more relieable too. The mizuno's launch higher which could account for the shorter distance.In the long run I prefer the vokeys.

pretty much agree with drawboy on most points made.
They launch higher for sure, and distance wise my 52* mizzy is good for about 70yards, my vokey 52* was good for about 90. i do think the mizzy's give more feel on shorter more delicate chips though. I did a very indepth review in the review section here

I am a big Mizuno iron fan, but have never really taken to the wedges as much. I currently have one Vokey wedge and a Callaway one. However, if they are good enough for Luke Donald (MP-T 11 54 and 60 degrees), then they are worth a look, though, and there are some custom options available with them.
I would just say that it depends on how you hit the ball, I have the old MP 51 gap wedge and i hit that from 110y-down
The 56 in the MP10 sand wedge max distance is about 70-80y.
One of my mates who has the older still black ox can hit his sand wedge 120y

I've only ever hit a Vokey once (or twice), so can't really compare fairly, but I have two MP-T11's (52 and 56) and cannot fault them.
They are the best wedges I've ever used.

At the moment i carry a 50 & 54 degree vokey. i use the 50 from appprox max 110 yards and the 54 from max apprx 85 yards. Sounds like the Mizuno's don't play the same yardage therefore probably better sticking with what i know.

Among the many reasons for choosing wedges, the distance they fly is rather low on the list of attributes. I rather doubt there is a true difference in distance. It may be that for one player there is a difference in one direction, but it is equally possible it works exactly the opposite for another.
If you can find a wedge that you can reliably hit a certain distance straight, buy it. No matter what that distance is.

I cant hit my Vokeys far at all but I do know how far and they may be the best clubs in my bag right now and if I lost them tomorrow I would get exactly the same again.

Never liked Vokeys but thats just me, wedges are personal so I wouldn't limit yourself to a straight choice between Mizzy and Vokeys!

Plenty of other good wedges out there like the Ping, Cally and the new Nike range. Then of course there are Cleveland wedges which are always pretty decent

I do like my mizunos but I can understand the comment about them not going very far. I am still building up the distance in mine, currently at about 90-100 for the 52 and 60-70 for the 56. My 47* PW goes about 110-120 so a little bit of a gap but nothing to worry about until I sort my swing out with the shorter clubs, its still a bit wobbly!

I've had both. I've given Vokeys a try 2 or 3 times down the years and never really got on with them. The Mizzies I have now work fine for me, look and feel great too. I've had CG15's recently but was getting stupid amounts of spin from them. Finding it reasonably straightforward playing 3/4 shots with the 52.
