Wondering if anyone has any info for older shafts as its difficult to find even from the manufcturers.
Shaft in question is a Grafalloy Comp NT Hybrid. Now this is designed for fairway woods so comes in at 44" rather than 46", standard tipping instruction from Grafalloy for the NT (standard 46") is to tip trim for a 5w 2"... I reckon thats too much for a shaft already 2" shorter as it makes it a tad short.

Contacted Grafalloy (well True Temper) to no avail.

Anyone got an idea on older, slightly different shafts?

No matter, decided just to tip 1" and leave an extra 0.5" on tge butt length and see how it plays. Can always take the half inch off the tip if its not right.

before you do that - what # metal you putting it in

that shaft is .350 far as I recollect at 44" is how it would come from the OEM
general guide a 5m is around 41.5 a 3m is around 42.5

don't think you'd need to tip trim as such unless you looking to stiffen it up some
more usually you'd butt trim to length

Shaft is a 0.335 with 4" parallel tip. Going in a 5w using an adpter. The 1" seems to feel fine think if it was left untipped I would have had to cut about 3.5" off the butt and would have been whippy.
