So with my semi final knock out match booked for tomorrow at 8am, I thought I'd have a good idea at 7pm tonight, " let's hit the range and loosen up "

3/4's of the way through a bucket of balls I switch to the driver, 2nd ball in, no turn all slide and CRACK, backs bloody gone again!

Atleast I know why I have been hooking drives!

Neurofen - check
Ice pack - check
Bad mood - check check check check check

Oh dear, doesnt sound good, are you going to be ok?

That does sound nasty!

I've got my first ever singles matchplay match tomorrow, Captains Prize 1st round. Off the blues too... eek!

Bad luck - I know what it is like. I played cricket last Sunday with a knockout match on Monday. I went for a catch on the boundary and struck my left hip joint on the hard ground. Three overs later, I dive left in the slips to stop a ball that fell short of the keeper and hit the same point on the ground again. Come Monday, I can hardly swing through. After a few holes practice and a range session I felt better and travelled. I managed to keep in the match and only lost on the eighteenth. He hit drive into the trees and then ran the ball 115yds along the ground under the branches to 5 yards.

Hopefully you will feel OK tomorrow.

I'm hoping my stretches my chiro gave me will work, I can normally click it back but it's now about 2 hours stretching with ice packs to try and get it back in.

I thought I was back sliding so atleast I know why me and the White stick have been in snaphooksville, I'll keep ya Posted lads....

......... No where's the vodka!

Gutted for you, so close to a comp too!

Does it always click back after you've iced it? Ice can tighten things up and make the slotting process harder - but if it worked for you before ignore me :)

Matty, when it clicks out it gets sore, the icing in the past has made it easier to get in but it's still hard work, been stretching and twisting almost half hour and it's easing but not clicked back in yet :(

Ah well, if personal experience is that ice works go for it. I was always under the impression that ice will limit swelling but once that's done it's heat that helps things loosen and heal.

Like I said, if you've already got it down to a fine art stick with it and I hope it snaps back in place for you soon.
