Interesting listening to the commentators discussing Tigers golf swing and how he's playing.

He is on top of the ball a lot more than he was and compresses the ball a lot more than he did, i was surprised to hear that he is hitting his driver higher despite this.

What are your thoughts on his swing this week?

The best player on that course this week barr the 18th and a couple of silly shots is Mcilroy. a couple of pars the last two days on the 18th and hed be leading...

Last time I checked Sherwood CC was 18 holes long , No point in being good over 17 holes then.

True enough but he's bloody close to being the very best :p

He doesn't win enough to be the best.
The game is about getting it in the hole not near the hole.

I agree totally. I have discussed this with a few mates and have always said he could be the best if he could play 72 holes well. He always seems to have one bad round and that normall only has 2 or 3 bad holes in it.

Just cause you can get up and down from ball washers  ;)

He's stacked (more over the ball)
and tilted (deeper shoulder angle)

From what I can see from the swings I looked at his swing is more compact, hands not so high, more connected. His head looks like he has his chin down a fraction and he appears to be holding the club off (flying wedge style) which would explain the higher ball flight with the driver (open clubface = more loft). That'll take a lot of getting used to with all the woods as you only need to shut the clubface down a fraction and that ball is going low and left.... even more so if you've set up for a fade and accidentally roll the face

With the amount that he practices I reckon it'll take 6 more months and he'll be a better player than he used to be... I'd be tempted to pencil him in for a Masters win.
