Tigers back

Nobody knows whether he's finished or not. The odds probably aren't on his side but he could well be in great shape.

Only thing I know is that even if he's 80% of what he used to be, he'll still be good enough to compete. And if he wins another major, it'll be just about the greatest story in golf (since Stuart Cink ruined everything in 2009).

That's why people will watch. If anyone one can do it, it's this guy.

All golfers owe a debt to Tiger Woods, he's boosted the sport and without him we would not have the level of sponsorship and range of tournaments. His profile means TV coverage now gives us wide opportunities to see our sport regularly.

He deserves more respect for his achievements; OK so the worst parts of his private life has been blast across the media but, had he not been 'public' property it would (unfortunately) not have been seen as such a big deal - there are other golfers whose morals are equally questionable.

His profile clearly polarises opinions but these perceptions are largely gained from 3rd hand information: I can see no justification for the vicious comments that are posted - perhaps the 'knockers' feel good: petty and childish, in my view, from golfers who are supposedly capable of the high standards of self discipline and etiquette the game requires.

Personally I would not wish anyone ill health and I hope he can continue playing his chosen sport for a long time and at a high level. In the future a Tiger Woods in the senior tour would certainly be worth watching.

Good luck to the guy

Maybe you are seeing something that I'm missing but I haven't read anything that is

1. Disrespectful towards his achievements

2. Not seen any "vicious comments" towards him posted

3. Nor anyone wishing him ill health

Remember also Woods owes golf his status and plenty of times in the past he has shown poor behaviour towards the game and indeed spectators. The club throwing and indeed the spitting aren't exactly actions you would like to see from a role model.

Not sure what you're reading on here. I'm one who personally doesn't think he'll ever win another major. I don't dislike him as a golfer and he was head and shoulders above the golfers when he was at his peak and as a result has been responsible for the very top of the game having to improve and move the sport forward. That has been great for the game.

I simply worry that the pressures on Woods body will continue to take their toil week in week out and that he's going to continue to suffer with pain and having to adapt his swing accordingly. It was what took it out of Seve in the end and others too. There haven't been many on here that have dragged up his off course behaviour although if he wants to continue to be a role model, the club throwing, spitting etc need to go. That's a different thing to what many are saying about whether he'll get back to where he was
