Has anyone played TW Golf on WII?

I was quite impressed by the technology and it seems to emulate the golf swing. If you make a good swing you will have more success, but I wasn't impressed by the interpretation of the rules. Sometimes when you land in a water hazard, is calls it OB and gives you stroke and distance penalty. Other times it's a local drop, but not of your choice. Apart from that, I thought it was a good evenings' entertainment.

Yup (tw09 all play) well worth the money except for big Sam getting it wrong and mentioning sand before it even gets near it kind of ruining the suspense!
The game is certainly worth buying if you are in the market for something of a golfy nature. The swing mechanics are pretty good in that you dont have to break your back to put in a 110% swing but then again you can if you want to. Putting is tough though I have only just discovered that drawing the putter back takes the meter up slowly then once you have got to the chosen amount of power, swing on through rather than just blattering it.

TW09 All Play is great. Putting has already been covered and has cost me many a win. Still trying to qualify for Q School!

Just got the thing set up for online play which is good fun.

A GM leaderboard on the Wii then??
Sod that HH, what about getting meets online organised! haha.

That's kinda where I was coming from.

If you haven't tried it already, it's good.

Each player plays at the same time, on the same course, you just see a trail of your oppos ball. You also have 30 seconds with which to choose your club, aim your shot and shot. Or you'll get a penalty.

It gets quite tense in a close match!

Sad; I know!

what a game!! its awesome. Sam Torrance makes me laugh so much. yes putting took me a while. sometimes find it hard to play a 60% shot as it seems that its always 95% or higher. will just have to play it more.

There is lots of different skills you can do other than just playing comps which makes it more interesting and fun at the same time.

we worth the money and the mrs getting annoyed with me playing it too much! :D :D :D

I found that putting was the easiest part, at least, that is where I had the most success. My method was to simply pick the line form the 'borrow' graphics, work out the distance, and then putt as though I was on the golf course, without reference to the screen. Worked pretty well.

I have TW08 and this was the problem i found. Anything less than a 90% shot was impossible. Tried short swings, long slow swings, always got higher than 90%. Found the game pretty poor tbh

Okay. This is gonna take a while, but bear with me!

Router on, and connected to the internet. Some routers have a 'pairing' button, make sure that this is switched on.

Turn on the Wii, click the round Wii button to reach the options menu.

Choose the Wii settings menu, the spanner on the right.

Shuffle to Wii system settings to get to 'internet settings'.

Choose one of the connection tabs, then click wireless connection and then search for an access point. It will now search for all wi-fi connections, might take a few moments.

You should see your wi-fi broadband router thing.

Click on that, and it will probably ask for a WEP key or something similar. It's the same pass for connecting laptops and phones to your wireless network.

It then should ask for a test to be performed, go ahead with this.

Follow any other on screen instructions to suit.

You're connected. (Maybe!!)

Hope it helps.

I wish I could take part in the online game, but the Wii that I used belonged to my grandaughter, and she's gone back home to London now. I must look into buying one myself.

I take it the game is OK now.

I got it the day of release and found it was really buggy and took it back within a week.

Some greens had no holes, didn't have option to us putter on some greens and in the career mode the computer was shooting rounds in the 40s!!!

Got 09 on the PS3 now and that is awesome, but if EA have got it right on the Wii I may have a dabble at that at some point.
