Yeah, that is what everyone says but it's lighter than a typical iron so it's not that easy to start with. As I say, shortening the backswing a bit has made it far easier to get the strike though, and it's still going roughly the distance I'd expect, so hopefully I've turned a bit of a corner with it.

I have finally reached the stage where the 5 iron has been dropped from the bag in favour of a 26 degree rescue. Much easier to get airborne and keep straight.
Bit of a mixture in my bag TM 19 Rescue Mid (it was the first to go in) adjustable loft Wilson FG tour M3 set at 23 and MD Seve Icon 26.
It took me quite a while to adjust to rescues.

Got a Cleveland Launcher 20* Hybrid - bought on a whim without trying it. I find it very useful in a variety of situations. I tend to hit it a bit hooky and high (for me) - so in the wind I'll often not use it as too prone to whipping all over the place. Ni e out of the first cut rough mind.

Did have a Callaway XR 3 hybrid. Didn't replace it when I bought new clubs and changed shafts, but should have. Can't hit my XR16 3 wood to save my life, am seriously considering to sell and replace it with a 3 hybrid.

It would be cheaper to have a lesson and learn how to hit your 3 wood
