I have just got my holiday tickets so I'm officially in holiday mode. What has happened to holiday tickets though? HID went to pick them up and was presented with what is basically 4 photocopied sheets of A4. We haven't booked late so cannot understand it. "Oh just hand this over at the check in desk and the will scan it, it's an E-ticket" Hid was told. Is there no end to effing cut backs in this bloody country?

I didn't know Victor Meldrew lived in Leeds.... :)

Thomas Cook today announced another loss of £712M.

I think you'll find cut backs are the order of the day, drawboy.

Went on hols with Thomas Cook 2 years ago, showed me the true meaning of queueing, now on my list with Ryanair of travel companies to avoid.

We are travelling with Thomas Cook to Cyprus this year. I'm not too worried as we're going out there for our friends' wedding, and said friend used to work in Thomas Cook and complains about just about everything. As long as we get there and get back ok, I'm confident the resort should be nice (5* all inclusive for two weeks. I will be getting my money's worth, believe me!)

Thomson's tickets are the same this year... just back from Sicily.

As for Thomas xxxxxxxx Cook! A few years back they admitted the error on the ticket might have been their fault but still charged me £40 to reissue the tickets...... their loss. They've missed out on the last 4 holidays to the tune of £10k+
