Up another .1 after yesterdays 81 nett 74, played pretty steady but couldnt get the putter to work, highlight was a 4 iron at the 192 yard 15th to about 6 feet and the only putt I holed all day, get a few quid back for the magic 2

How'd everyone else get on ??

Crappy 30 stableford points. Tough wind and showery conditions though. Winning score was only 37 points.

84 including a double bogey 6,5 and also a 9 from trying to get out of trouble in the woods and finding an unplayable lie. net 74 so no harm done but I was playing quite well before it all happened on the tenth so feel like ive given a top 3 away too easily, my provisional ball was sitting pretty too but I had to go and look for the first one out of honesty and found it.

Well I managed a mighty 28 points in a stab'.

I hit 8 fat shots with short irons - not normally a mistake I make either!

Only 30 pts yesterday morning in sat stapleford- went back out this morning and what a disaster-11 points on the front nine with 4 scratches(3,5,6,9) then scratched 10 & 11, on 11 due to poor lie I tweaked the back again and decided enough was enough and walked in before causing any more damage to my back.

I thought i had got over my back trouble after my physio sessions in Jan/Feb-

Having a bit of a mare this weekend. Hacked it round Saturday in my normal group but I bought a new Odyssey 2 ball (XG2) on Friday night (actually thats not true I raded two old putters in and they gave it to me for nothing). Went out with it on Saturday and holed from 10 foot on the 1st, 8 ft for birdie on the 2nd and about 10 foot for par on the 3rd!!!. 13 putts for the first nine holes and 30 in total.

Went out on my own yesterday and was a little better ball striking wise but not as good as it has been.

Played in a 4 ball better ball stableford today (3/4 of handicap) and we managed 37 points. Nothing spectacular and ball striking still not great but we battled well as neither of us played great.

Short game work booked in for tomorrow and then on the practice ground Wednesday for some work on my swing.

Got £12.50 for my 2, however hats off to a player at the club, back to back 2's on the 8th and 9th, not too shabby when you consider the 8th is a 343 yard par 4 and the 9th is a 430 yard par 4 !!!!

Yep, everything is checked, signed for and the holes where you get your 2 is posted on the match board. One player 2 x magic 2 back to back par 4's

36 points with a couple of blobs. Managed to play the harder holes well which boosted up my score.

27 points on Sat - very tough conditions with very srtong swirling wind which seemed to be in everyones face all day. I also won 8 holesin our one pound match play, against 14, 18 and 20 (hcp) was quite impressed with my play until the 10th.

Comp was held on Sat and Sunday so I was unable to play comp on Sunday, I played the shop sweep (over 14) and had 28points for 14 holes and 38 points for 18 - with an 11 on the 17th . Finished with a 101 - it may not impress many of you here but I played the best for a while - Was more han pleased. Now I just need to eradicate the 11.

First golf weekend after half a year due to winter whether and knee surgery

30 Stableford points on Friday
31 on Saturday although I played the last 6 holes in 2 over par including a 3putt on 17 and a missed birdie putt from 4 feet on 18. I will put by Odyssey putter back in my bag for next weekend

Well I had a mixed weekend!

Saturday Stableford I managed an incredible 20 points! Just wanted to give up!!That would have been .1 up!

Sunday, we had a qualifer and shot 84, CSS 72, so a cut is coming on!

I won the Ryder Cup this weekend

We had a comp where we got divided into 4 teams depending on where you were born. Scarboro team, Yorkshire, England and ROTW. Each player put in a stableford card and the total points for each team were divided by the total of men on each side. My 35 points was a decent contribution, highlight of the day was a 5 iron tee shot on the par 3 3rd which bounced once hit the bottom of the pin and ran on. AAAAAAAAAAAAAACHHHHHHHH. Missed the putt haha but made a couple of nice birdies elsewhere and it was a nice comp to play in. First proper Medal of the summer tomoro night - cannot wait for that.

I managed a 76 today for 34 pts, not bad concidering I'm playing Cra8, I had an eagle at our 10th hole and a 2 at the 14th so will get a few quid for my 2.
Likely get another point 1 back so should be at 2 dead.
