2 days ago I formatted my PC hard drive.
Save all my stuff, booted from the disc and a lovely new computer came out the other end. So far so good.
Then I started to download my usual stuff I use and something has gone wrong.
Sometimes pages load fine, some only sometimes and some never seem to load. Some even load but in a skeleton format with no pics.
IE wont load anything. It starts to load my Aol home page then stops and says it cant and action aborted.
I had to do a system restore this morning as I couldn't get onto the internet at all...........something to do with proxy servers.?
Anyway, I've looked and cant find anything in the programmes that shouldn't be there but you know what happens, stuff hides.
Can some please help or do I have to start all over again.
Thanks

is it still the steam driven XP one?

Very funny ;)
I did a system restore and it's now just downloaded 75 updates  which seems to have fixed it.
We'll see

BTW, it's not steam driven, it's Vista Home premium, Intel Core 2 duo 2 GB ram 2.2 Ghz and 250 GB hard drive.
Not immense but great when it was new.

All i can say is that it is not the sort of machine you want to spend ANY money on, at all, ever :)

Hope it brings you joy and happiness

I've got a separate issue now.
I got a pm earlier and now its still showing as unread so every time I change a page, it pops up again.
I even deleted it and it's still there
Any clues?
