Thinking of joining a club... what questions should I ask them?

Does the club have a rule stating minimum std for playing competitions <28?
Does membership entitle you to a CONGU Handicap?

This is something that would definatly affect my choice of club.

Is the club captain entitled to jump the tee time q?
Does the captain routinely excercise this right?

Are punch-ups a regular occurence on the first tee between the Captain and disgruntled members ?

Question 1) ..Is there any members who actually appreciate what the committee members, Captain etc do for them ?

Question 2) .. Are all officials of the Club, self seeking, self centered, egotistical, pushy types who only want to look big on the tee and their election to office is purely for their own benefit?
