A lad I knew at School Kenneth Varley. He was a lovely kid who was always bullied because he was not the brightest. We shared a bond. Anyway he was rubbish in most academic subjects. When we left school
I bumped into him In a Pub and we had a game of arrows. I was doing the scoring. Hid it was painful taking 26 off 394. Hr said “ here give us the chalk”. I was gobsmacked. It was like playing darts with Stephen Hawkins when it came to scoring. He was fantastic.

Saw an interview with Luke Littler where he said he's not very good at maths, but he's just played so much darts that he knows what all the combinations are and what total it leaves him etc etc.

A sweet & sour chicken with egg fried rice. Sweet & sour made from scratch, and a bit more care taken with the rice, inc. cooking it early afternoon then letting it stand for a couple of hours before adding the egg yolks as it cooked.

Topped off with a new wine for us, a Rioja Crianza.

A bloody good end to having friends out from the U.K. - next week my liver will be resting…

Pair of collared doves spent all day unsuccessfully trying to build a nest on the bracket of our sky dish. Whatever they put there, fell off.

It's looks like they've come to their senses and are trying elsewhere. It was fun watching.

Chatting with complete strangers in the Tesco car park about their new car when it’s something I’ve had my eye on.
I’ve done Duster and Bigster, just waiting to meet someone with a new Renault 4 e-Tech.

Did this in the golf club car park years ago when I was thinking about a 335d Touring but wasn’t sure about the diesel engine and the hearse-like appearance from a handling point of view.

Saw one in the car park and asked the guy what it was like, got chatting and he ended up letting me have a wee shot of it up and round the dual carriageway outside the course. Nearly missed my tee time that day

I hired a 535 touring for a couple of weeks before buying. Thought that if I was spending that much money I needed to do an extended test drive. Toured the Algarve and south east Spain in it, longest journey being 8 hours. Got out as fresh as when I’d gotten into it. Loved it!
