Since we are still on the 14th February...I reflect (as ever on the 14th Feb) that it was on this day 38 yrs ago - well probably at about 1am on the 15th, that I met the girl I'd marry at a Valentines Day Party my mates were having in their shared house in Bristle - that became an engagement party for my mate Bill and his intended Lizzie. Bill was a big, funny, brilliant Irish lad who very sadly passed away a good few years ago now - he was a grand fella and a very useful golfer. I can't believe that lovely blond lass agreed to hitch up with me - of all people - and stick with me through plenty thick and thick these last 38yrs - and on we plough - to infinity and beyond
