38th wedding anniversary today. It was shirt sleeve weather in 1975 for our weekend honeymoon in London even in February, a pre cursor for the best summer ever in '76.

Just enjoyed a prawn starter, home made sweet and sour chicken and a trifle with a bottle of bubbly! Mmmmmm

There must be others out there with medals for longer service to the enemy, c'mon lets know who ........

Currently at 22 years and counting, so not in your league. Not doing badly though, all things considered.

I'd have had to get married aged 9 to get to 38.

Congratulations mate, well done, I'm 15 years behind you. However you are a mere amateur compared to the in-laws who got their second card from the Queen last year for 70 years!!

Lasted 5 Years then she did the dirty! For the best really as the one I have now is a keeper.

Credit where it's due you've had a cracking innings I'm assuming you've got some good padding and a bash hat to protect from a few Yorkers.

Only people I know gone longer than you is my mum and dad who are at 46 years not out and heading blissfully to a half century.

42 and never a cross word [just the scars]

Fantastic really when my Mrs was not given much of a chance of survival from cancer in 1980.
She lost all of her hair to Chemo then and today she has a fine head of hair without a trace of a silver thread.

Congrats on 38 years Chris
On our 40th anniversary we took 3 weeks out and returned to all of the special places in our life together. Visited all of our old homes and friends . That was fun.

Congrats buddy, I have been married for 8 years now so you are 30 ahead of me.

I hope that my wife and I can last as long as you and your good lady.

Heres to many more

Don't worry mate, you should be eligible for parole soon.:D
I hope you and your good lady enjoy many more years together.

Wow well done to HID for putting up with you that long!
We are having our 15th anniversary in May, I could be getting out on parole soon!

Apart from Doon you are all a bunch of lightweights!

Thanks for your kind words though.

I like Doons idea on 40 years of visiting special places. Now where was it I scored in that cup quarter final??

I can beat that by a bit, 43 years this September. There should be some kind of medal for putting up with me that long.
