The Zlatan moves to LA

The nasty streak argument is one put out to justify unpleasant players. Not necessary, plenty of world class players who don't have the character of a Keane or Ronaldo. Go through the ages, Pele, Beckanbauer, Muller, Platini, Pirlo, Lineker, Charlton, Moore, Iniesta, Xavi, Messi. They are just off the top of my head, a random bunch. Plenty more if I put my mind to it.

I'm not old enough to recall watching the others, but i've seen them 3 dive and hound refs plenty. That's equally against the spirit of the game. I think some players are media darlings and people choose not to see the "bad" things they do....

Messi for a start has been charged with tax fraud (as have many Barcelona darlings), so is it only on the pitch that we judge their morals or off it too?

Kellfire, when I responded by not waxing lyrical about his footballing carreer I was being kind. There is no doubting his talent. However " nasty streak " is a massive understatement. Think Roy Keanes tackle on the City (Alf Haaland) player and times it by ten. There are countless videos and stories about his "violent episodes" as a player. (Wikipedias quote not mine). Spend five mins on you tube. See an<script id="gpt-impl-0.2817239562716132" src="https://securepubads.g.doubleclick.net/gpt/pubads_impl_190.js"></script>other side to his game and then get back on here with another "you're making absolutely zero sense". Try finding out yourself without guessing what he was like.
Is he the only player that has a streak to his game? No. But this thread is about him, no one else.

Ah so when you clearly stated he doesn't have a nasty streak you meant he has a nasty streak.

Should we just assume you mean the opposite of everything you say in future?

Should we assume that all players have a nasty streak because you quoted others. My response was scarcasm because your opinion was weak to say the last. My opinion was based upon what I saw on YouTube. It was a video based upon the other/dark side of Ibra. Some of the things he has done on the pitch would get him arrested were it on the street.

how is any of that a nasty streak?

Is English your first language?

Stupid saying, that. If you executed a perfectly clean slide tackle on someone in the street you'd probably be arrested as well.

It was in response to a list of good / nasty players. Usually Messi is the hero and Ronaldo the villain. I can't see where Ronaldo is nasty either myself so was asking the question as to whether we're talking dirty fouls or more their overall character?

Not if you was tackling a robber, you wouldn't. Bit of you assaulted him you would

Not bad at all, instant hero I think especially in the first LA derby game. Mad me chuckle when he said he wanted to go to LA before he choose Utd. Certainly knows the finer arts of PR.
