Not having played for the last two weekends and now with more snow on the forecast, it looks like this weekend will be a non starter as well

Been to the range a few times, love to practice, but need something more.....

Has anyone tried one of those indoor courses where you can choose the course you want to play and then basically hit against a projected screen ? You see how desperate I am !!!

I visited the one near Soho a while back and played Pebble Beach (badly) and St Andrews (shot 77). I think they are a good laugh with a couple of mates but I wouldn't take them as a serious reflection on the state of your game.

I'd rather go to a range a work on something specific like shaping my shots or my short game

As long as the range is open and its not too cold you can always practice draws and fades, high and low shots. No need to worry about where the ball lands its the flight that matters when its like this.

Infact, its the flight that matters on the range any time...lol

As for those golf simulators, they are meant for a bit of fun. But I supose as some sort of limited practice, but most importantly in the warm, I supose it could be a welcome refuge when the rest of the country is in this mini iceage...lolBut as has been pointed out I really wouldn't put too much store in them, but its better than playing Tiger Woods, or Real world golf, on the playstation.

I can't even do that, as I don't have carpet, only floorboards, and they are useless to putt on. Also, my cat likes to chase the ball. I had a putting mat, but it follows the contours of the boards underneath, which makes it hopeless. I could nail it to a piece of hardboard, but then where to store it. Problems problems.

The ranges round my way are closed due to snow, the course is closed, the practice area is closed, last time I checked, even the kitchens were closed.

No golf related activity for me, unless I go for a wander round AG.

Just ordered a putting mat which will fit nicely in my office, cat is now banished as I can't putt with him curled up on it licking his own arse!! :D
