We talk about Tiger and quite rightly so. But.....If this happened today we would all be in awe, not believing what we're witnessing. As time goes by Its too easy to forget the enormity of this.

This one round of golf, the last ten holes really, is the reason why big Jack is the real master, of six times, and the all time major winner.

A couple of things of note, Jack shot 8 under for the last 10 holes, not bad at 46 years of age. Look at the size of the head on his putter, large for these days. Look how much Jack and Seve bend over the ball when putting. Check out Jacks concentration and the nervous like positioning of his ball on the 16th tee. All of Jacks putts look to be dead centre. Oh, and Nick Price shot a record 63 the day before.

Enjoy

I enjoyed that Tommo :)

He certainly made the putting look easy, but the real secret is what got him there before, in prime position!

He IS the King!!

That was one hell of an event that year, big names all in with a shout. Our golf clubs most successful amateur has a fantastic claim to fame that he beat Jack that year in the practice round (has the cheque and letter signed to prove it) though never made the cut to get to experience Sunday at Augusta. Lucky bloke got to play again in the 87 Masters too!

Thanks Tommo really enjoyed that, this was way back before I was interested in golf.

That shot to 16th made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Much better than chipping it in from just off the green ;)

Just amazing how they all managed to score this low with the gear they were using etc.

Fantastic era for golf - the current pros owe these guys a lot in terms of technique and bringing the game to the masses.
