The not so bearded player

Quite surprised at the relaxed attitude towards shaving on here. Not a problem though, each to their own.
I shave every day and if going out in the evening will shave again. One of the problems I find is the stubble rubbing on the shirt collar - gets caught, is uncomfortable and ruins collars in no time. :) :)

Golfmmad.

I shave once a week because i'm a lazy get, nothing worse going to work clean shaving and getting all the dirty oil fumes into your pores, it may look scruffy but who cares.

Cant see why anybody would have a problem if some shaved or not!! i would think they would have too much time on their hands if that concerned them!!

Nothing beats a freshly shavin face like a 25mph wind ripping in off the atlantic with a dab of sea spray to top it all off....... :D :D
Who are these people trying to kid.....
Next they'll want our nails freshly manicured.....
Stubble these days is a fashion....
I have it myself but i guess mine doesnt look as unkept as my head is shaved also and its the same length all over my head very short......
Those of us that are folicly challanged have to make up for it some way.....

I think a golfer can look as untidy facially as one can in the way they dress, and neither will counter the other.

The trouble is that many people who grow stubble or short beards look scruffy simply because of the way it grows and the various coulouration displayed. Some people can look very tidy indeed with a neatly cared for stubble look, but most can't. When I see people looking like it on the course in the media spotlight I think it looks more sluvenly rather than sporty or fashionable, and people cannot really hide behind fashion trends, otherwise the baggy ass crack showing trouser brigade should be equally welcomed on the course. This 'lazy beard' fashion trend is an ugly one in most cases just like the trouser wearing trend I have mentioned. There should be a standard that everyone can see as acceptable and smart, not just what SOME people see.

All I can imagine when I see the 'gap in razor brigade' are clandestined meetings in the changing room toilets?????

Would this be an equal ammount of time liken to that given regarding jeans, shorts, 'T' shirts etc etc? :D

No because if you pitch up to the golf course in jeans, 't' shirt and shorts i see it as a waste of time. there is so many good brands of golf clothes out there that it would seem a waste to be in 'T' Shirt, jeans etc.

Whereas someone may have to have a beard through work a mean look at santa claus :D :D :D

Shave monday to friday, dont shave saturday or sunday unless going out with HID.

Eaxh to their own--i have no problems with clean shaved, bearded or stubble wearing playing partners.
