Never mind the golf today the big sporting event is the Connacht Final between Mayo and London...

Its the first time in Londons history that they have made the final. Although London are huge underdogs, it is great for the GAA continues to thrive and grow here on the British mainland. For anyone who wants to know more about Gaelic football I have added a couple of links.

Having grown up playing this game in my opinion its the best sport in the world. although it was only the football I played and not the hurling...those boys are plain daft lol

Lets also not forget about the Ulster Final between Monaghan and Cavan which is on today. Come on the Farneymen...

A couple of links for anyone wanting to find out more about the game...check out the youtube clip at the end...

Some super hits in that clip

Drive past London's home ground nearly everyday... [used to be QPR's training ground] Its right by the Polish War Memorial... Never actually been in myself and therefore didn't realise the level they played at... Will make a point now of getting there, in the near future, to take a look... One of my lads lived very adjacent and, on occasion, made use of the bar facilities...

No chance! Donegal will win by 6 points (hopefully :mmm:)
Or possibly more , Donegal have changed the way football is being played , the first year it was hard to watch but the have evolved it in to good to watch now aswell ,

As for London ,it's great to see them do well for the commitment they put in , in travel alone , sadly is more a reflection of how bad Connaught football is gone rather than a massive leap forward for London, all the same well done to them ,have a fear they will get a lesson in football today and the real standard that does exist , hope not but I worry about the score today

A great game I've managed to play myself also my dad has played for Yorkshire and my grandad also played for Tyrone

Well done to Monaghan ,didnt expect that result , not sure if they were very good or Donegal were poor, 28 minutes or something for first score , having seen Tyrones performance against us i cant see anyone beating the Dubs.. cant see Donegal be as bad again

Think I heard the Donegal manager talking about the Monaghan team saying they are at the same point now that Donegal were a few years ago just when they started on the up.
