my 775's arrived, been up the range comparing them to the G10 and lets just say the pings are now well and truly out of the bag :)

Not sure on the orange/blu/pink grip combo but the ball striking is in a different leage.

I obviously prefer slightly slimmer less offset irons. The launch is slightly lower but seem to carry a good bit further. I was even able to hit some nice draws and controlled fades as opposed to straight or sliced lol

range every night this week and a few hours short game Saturday to get the jaws wedge distances sorted in preparation for the club champs on Sunday

Blimey Gibbo,

You should get a sticky - here's my new clubs and just update it every other week.

How many sets you had now?

Hope they fly well for you:p

Coming to you live from the Golf Monthly Arena!

Iiiiiiiiiiin the blue corner. The challenger. Weighing in with 6 sets of irons, and numerous woods.. He puts the "Age" into "Steven"....... Giiiiibbbooooooooooooo!!!!

In the red corner. The defending champion. Weighing in with more sets of irons than American golfs complete stock. Mr Shiney himself........ Rick.........GGGGGGGGG!!!

775's look nice Gibbo. Try and hold onto these for more than a month

WOW 6 sets of irons!
I'm on my second. Just ordered now 3 and 5 wood to replace the ones I was given.
On my 4th driver and second putter!!!

Hi Gibbo

don't know if you are bonkers or inspired - only last week you were getting a general play cut  this week new irons

Are the new irons the ones to take you to a new level or are you on a quest to be the only category 3 player with a higher club sets count than your handicap:smirk:

I hope they go really well but I have a sneaking feeling that 6 becomes 7 more easily than 1 becomes 2. They must love you at the golf store - do they have a gold/reward card system - do you get extended opening hours, tea on arrival - free top flites, guaranteed trade-ins, is there a gorgeous girly shop assistant. Cummon what's the story here ?

Nice one Gibbo, can we get a quote from you to say how long you will keep them for??

Hope they work out for you mate....

Gibbo did this come from a guy in Croydon by any chance

I've played golf for about 14 years now and at least 12 sets have passed through my hands. I have had my Titleist clubs for 18 months now.

Oh, by the way I really do originate from Croydon!

right I shall explain, not that I need to but here goes

bought a set of MD tour steel off ebay, graphite shafts, snapped the 5 iron 1st proper round on a tree in my follow through, also wasnt sure about graphite but was suffering with tennis elbow so felt they would help.

Bought a set of Titleist 775's whit I really got on well with, consistant distances and decent for my standard of play

Got some nike vr hybrids and a tour bag off Rick so went all nike with the nike vr cavities but just didnt get on with them, not sure if it was the heads or shafts (uniflex)

Went to forgiving irons but opted for i10/G10 combo, didnt like the change between the 2 types so went to just G10, ugly mofo's launch the ball easily but too high and too much offset

Gone back to the 775's as I prefer the slightly thinner top line and sole, also forged (if that makes any difference)

I will not change again, the G10's are going into a bag for my 17 y/o son to use so everyones a winner :)

the irons were from upminster not Croydon :D
