Not long returned from a weekend of golf at Woodhall Spa, and would recommend anyone going for a two day break to stay at the Dower House Hotel.
Located overlooking the first fairway of the Bracken Course, the hotel is within a par five of the clubhouse, or about 3 minutes by road. I stayed in the Lodge, a separate building from the main hotel just across the courtyard. Spotlessly clean room and furnished tastefully. In the main hotel the staff were very smart and professional. I was greeted in the car park and welcomed before being shown my room for the night.
Service during dinner was excellent, and the breakfast in the morning was served individually with a wide choice available, cereals, yoghurts and pastries were also on offer along with a cooked choice, tea and coffee was plentiful.
As I understand it, the owners of the Dower House have bought and are currently renovating the Woodhall Spa Hotel, where I stayed last year. So if the service at The Dower House is replicated at The Woodhall then we as golfers will be spoilt for choice
