I don't agree the programme is worse than it was but the demographic has changed.
Instead of him offering a job hes now offering money towards an idea.

But the best candidates don't necessarily have the best ideas?

And if the ideas are not assessed until week 12, what's the point of the first 12 weeks?

But that is why as a programme, it's not as good as the old apprentice. There is no point to any of the preceding weeks. Day one, assess the business plan, day two, choose apprentice winner. Why drag it out over 12 weeks? It makes no odds how well you do the tasks, if your business plan sucks, you shouldn't be there. It's not the same programme any more, and it's the poorer for it.

But the old format was pointless.

How many of those winners remained employed for any length of time by Sugar.

The current format still tests their capabilities whilst also questioning their business accumen something that was previously lacking.

I do see your point and I agree but obviously its a premier BBC programme and the weeks
have to be filled.
I must admit I liked the old process best.

how could anyone like mark. he is a snake and a massive bullsh*tter! going behind peoples backs and calling himself the prize pony then collapsing like a house of cards under pressure to talk rubbish about trifles.


rosin who was an odds on fav before last night was made to look rather foolish. the fact that there was already a product out and she didn't know about it was the final nail in her coffin.

When Ricki won the process Sugar had stated his business plan was one of the worst of all the candidates but through the process he saw how good a person Ricki was hence why he won.

Didnt he pretty much tell him the offer was only if he changed numerous things?
im sure Sugar has a certain idea of their plans and if plays a part when he fires people.

Needs to be Bianca to win.

She has a creditable idea and has identified a niche that even industry experts have given credence to.

Mark's plan on the other hand is much more difficult; I work in digital marketing and agencies within the industry are 10 a penny.. he'll need something really special to separate him from everyone else and he'll be judged on results from the outset. From my experience, clients want results instantly, but proper search engine optimisation can take months and even years to implement properly. I don't think he'll be afforded the time and very few big-paying clients would invest in a fledgling firm to promote their standing online.

He'd likely be scrabbling around the low-end market.. promoting small hotels with limited burdget and the like rather than multi-nationals with pits of cash to throw at PPC ads, and it would be a long time before he'd be turning any real profit. It would be a foolhardy move by Surallan into an already saturated market and I reckon Mark would sink without trace.

Bianca at least has a chance of making something from her plan.

Mark is a snake. He very good at making people do as he wants but had a complete meltdown when it mattered. Not a fan of Bianca but once it was mentioned her idea is great I think she will win.

Don't like Mark. Manipulative and sneaky. Not been a fan of this series. Too many candidates to start with. Hope Bianca wins as it seems the best business plan on offer and something I think Sugar could see growing

It was also clear from this week's episode that Bianca is totally devoid of personality and is emotionally incapable of accepting criticism.

But she does appear to have a decent business idea.

There's a few things that need to happen to liven up the next series. Someone needs to be fired and have a complete freak out. Instead of all this "thank you for the opportunity" stuff, really let fly at Sugar and call him a "Sid James-lookalike dwarf" or something like that.

And business plans. How about someone turns up with an idea to start a new porn channel or a high-class escort agency? The questioning would be fantastic.

being a bloke, I can believe Bianca's idea is actually an idea. how have the big guns in this area missed out on this? you can get a wide range of colours in absolutely everything these days. It isn't hard to dye a pair of tights. well done on spotting this massive gap in the market.

her downfall was stupidly trying to charge £24 for a pair of tights. she kept repeating "this is a premium product, this is a premium product''. no its not love, its a pair of tights. she got a bit blinded by this fact and refused to change her stance on price which was a major factor in her downfall.

one of those industry experts will most likely take her under their wing and make some money out of this idea or they will just simply rob the idea and laugh all the way to the bank.

im off to look around my house to see what other blindingly obvious things could do with a wider colour scheme. has anyone tried a white driver head yet? :rofl:
