The Apprentice Final

Made for TV so entertainment is the first priority.

Lord (how many times does he expect that to be get said!!) Sugar says he wants to create a 'big' international business with his winning candidate. Trouble is he only comes up with the princely sum of £250k which wouldn't buy a corner shop, a McDonalds franchise, a factory/industrial building etc, etc.

The logic just doesn't stand investigation - the wining candidate make cakes at £3 a time and the loser proposes to sell £15 items but is criticised because he'd need to sell millions and they could be copied (yet cup cakes are made in many households) to make it a 'big' business !

Not one of them would get £1 from me.

The original idea was to get a job with the then "Sir" Alan in one of his businesses. More believable and realistic.

As has been said £250k is hardly in the mega-corporate league.

I used to enjoy Trump's USA version as it was even more toe-curlingly crass than our own version.

I wouldn't have ever wanted to work for Alan Sugar - he is almost as bad as the numpties who appear on the show as candidates!
