Takeaway menu's

I do not know if this is just a Leeds phenomenon but here in god's own county we are under siege literally by takeaway menus. We are up to around 7 per day shoved through the letterbox. I am not exaggerating in any way. Mainly indian/pizza places but the odd Chinese menu too. it is constant. Today is Easter Sunday and i have just had the fourth pushed through. it's really annoying, Is it the same elsewhere?

Getting a brave few through my letterbox, including BurgerKing ones as well. Most all have some form of offers or deals. Obviously they're not busy and trying to tease in new trade with these offers.

Not just you, we get a ridiculous amount. I read something a while ago about this that made me laugh, some guy somewhere got really fed up so he saved all the menus until he had a decent amount, then packaged them up and posted them back to the takeaway in question, minus a stamp. So Mr Takeaway owner would have to go to the post office to pay for an unknown parcel, only to find its full of his menus!

Yep, I hate when people supply me with alternatives for dinner especially when it is at no cost to me.

We get loads. Usually from mickey mouse pizza outlets. I'm a Herbies or Dominos man. We have our preferred curry house for takeaway, rarely eat Chinese these days and have our favourite chippy. Most menus are in the recycling 30 seconds after landing on the mat

NZ doesn't do Crispy fried Duck so imagine my delight to discover on our return the local chinese now deliver the whole package , yumcious :clap:

We also seem to be inundated with them. Our recycling bin is in the porch, just to the right of the door. If we get a delivery person who suffers with a slice, we don't have to bother, they never touch the mat!

And considering their pizzas are dire I can't understand why people use them.I'd bet that near every one of the manufactured pizza factories is a local pizzeria that produces superior scran using superior ingredients.

Indeed, there really is no comparison. We quickly discovered a local Italian pizza co. that deliver. They clearly use fresh ingredients and cost no more than dominos/pizza hut.
