Strange phenomenon. I bought a Swingbyte the other day and it works with every club except the driver, where it fails to register at all. If I hit it off the deck it works but this is hardly ideal. Today I went to the range & borrowed a friend's Titelist driver with a regular shaft. The Swingbyte never failed once.
So what could it be? The Black Tie has a bend profile like no other shaft, according to the Cleveland / Miyazaki bend profile measurement scale. The butt & mid section are regular to soft but the lower & tip section are stiffer than a lot of X flex shafts. I can only think that this unique profile stops enough vibration reaching the point of the shaft where the Swingbyte is attached.
I will take this up with customer service & see what they say.
