I’ve started using this app (Swing U) and it seems pretty good tbh. No need to buy a bespoke yardage device again.
Anyone else use it?

Used to use it and still do if I've forgotten to charge my garmin.

I like it on new courses for getting yardages to hazards etc.

I always use it to explore a new course before I play it as well. I find this feature pretty good for getting an idea of the course before playing it.

I've been using Hole19 app for six years. Back then I tried a variety of the apps - Swing U might have been one of them but I can't remember now. They're all probably quite similar, I just preferred the interface on H19 and the score input etc.

I used it when it was Swingbyswing. I even contributed tee locations for courses to it. But I do find fiddling with a 'phone on the golf course is not for me. it's a good app. though as it uses satellite photos and you can touch the screen at an intermediate point, such as a tree on the fairway, and it gives you distance to the tree and distance from the tree to the hole.
