Finally plucked up the courage to post my swing, might have been better putting it up on April 1st though!

Bit of back ground: got hooked a few years ago but at the same time just started a family so struggled for time, littles ones coming up to 3 now and starting to get a bit of free time back so hoping to play and practice a bit more this year.

Struggling to pay for lessons so looking on here and YouTube for any advice to try and improve and break that magical 100.

Normal bad shot is a hook, playing partner often points out my alignment too.

Not the best angles had a friend from work film me in my dinner hour.

Down the line:

Any pointers welcome, just be gentle :)

Not too often, it tends to be straight ish or a massive hook mainly. The ones that do go right I (possibly wrongly) put down to where in was aiming.

I agree, it's a good looking swing.
The reason I asked is that you have a slightly in to out swing and a high 'exit point' which often results in a high shot to the right.
If you are hooking, that would suggest the clubface is closed to the swing path and it may be you're trying to rescue the shot by shutting the face various degrees.
Try getting your right hand a little more on top of the grip, that will help stop the hook

Seems like pitching/chipping/putting is more likely the cause - unless you are putting your tee shot into trouble and trying the magic escape! As others have said, that doesn't look a super-high handicapper's swing!

Are you trying to reach greens in regulation? Playing 1-over on average and you will shoot around 90. You then have another 9 shots - one on every second hole - and you will break 100! So there's no real need to smash the shot to the green. Just staying away from trouble will help the score!

It might help if you logged a 'typical' round. That way the cause(s) might be a bit more obvious, or at least highlight possible problem areas.
