Money List Winner
Before lockdown every 2 weeks I'd buy a couple of large Rib Eye steaks, freshly cut to size from my local Morrison's butchers dept and always found them 1st class.
I BBQ one within a couple of days of buying, only eat half for dinner and save other half for steak sandwich lunch maybe the next day.
Usually freeze the other one till maybe even the next week.
But I was a bit disappointed with the look of both my Rib Eye steaks bought last week when Morrisons opened their Butchers counter. Both steaks seemed a bit different, maybe a bit floppy and a kind of watery feeling .
A bit worried in case they have been frozen and defrosted before I bought them, is this allowed ?
I've just finished the 2nd one off a few mins ago and it was fine , a steak sandwich lunch awaiting me tomorrow.
BTW both tasted good but different
, To make things worse the wife is a Vegetarian
