Generally what time does the sunset and its not possible to carry on playing a round?? I am playing with a lad after work so tee off at 6pm (half price green fee). . . We are fairly quick players. what time do you think it will be unplayable and have to give up due to lack of light?

I played last week, teed of at just before 6 and played 18 no problems ,roughly about 9.15 and we weren't exactly running round

This time of year, if it's a nice day it should be ok until about 9 ish....might even be a little later than that (as i'm a lot further south than you) so 3 hours for a 2 ball might be ok depending on what course, and course trafick.

I arranged a tie last night for next Monday and we're teeing off at 6pm. It was still playable light last night at 9.30pm. Any later than that we might be struggling.

har-de-har

It was actually because I hit it so damn far....played a blinder to be fair, rescue wood about 220yds into the back of the green, 2 putted for par :D

Good finish :) makes the beer taste that little bit nicer :)

Depends on the course I have been going out for the last few weeks at about 6.30 and getting around. Its still playable till about 9.45.

if you hit the ball straight you don't need to see it LOL.

Played last in Dublin till 9.40. Thought it was much earlier and was surprised at the time when got back to the car.
Bit windy but lovely evening and no better way to unwind after a Monday at work.......
