St Medans, a 9 hole course in Dumfries & Galloway. It sits on a triangular parcel of land, bounded on two sides by the Solway Firth. Some crossover holes, some elevated tees and always a breeze coming off the water. It is an amazing afternoon's golf that you have to take if you get the chance. I've played it many times and it doesn't disappoint. Great for a family game. A single storey clubhouse, with a bar at the weekends, and where else can you by fresh veg or hens eggs in the locker room and leave the money in the honesty box. The 7th tee is amazing with the waves crashing onto the shore behind the tee. Definitely a quirky course ?
