Strange sightings on the golf course

Last week in the first medal of the year our group encounter a pair of horses galloping down the 11th fairway one with a rider one without.... turned out a little girl had fallen off the spooked horse broken her arm and the mother was chasing after it! greenskeepers were not impressed !

I thought I saw something resembling a decent short game recently, sadly mistaken.

The East Devon Hunt was out 'practicing' and riders and hounds went along an adjacent bridle path. 10 minutes later this gormless looking hound comes bounding down 10 and exits the course in the opposite direction to which the hunt had gone. Copped it again later in the round heading off up 8 in the direct of the town!

Playing at Wimbledon Common on a Saturday afternoon there was a family sitting on the banking around the 1st green (240 yard par 3) having a picnic. Clearly had no idea why this flag was on a manicured bit of grass but the kids kicking a ball around were making a right mess. We shouted from the tee but they just looked at these 4 burks in red jumpers waving at them and carried on. In the end one of the 4 ball went down and had a bit of a frank and open discussion with the bloke and basically gave them 5 minutes to move before we started using them for target practice.

My previous club was next to an airfield and there'd often be people doing skydiving at the weekends. Playing a Medal one summers day and we were on the 14th ready to putt out when one of our group started pointing with a worried look on his face. Turned around to see a parachute floating down to earth....with no-one strapped in! Parachute came down on the course before a random man came jogging over to us asking if we'd seen where it landed. Pointed him in the right direction before we asked about the passenger. Turns out there wasn't one, but we never found out how it happened to be opened and released!

A mate of mine went out on his course really early one morning and when he got to the 14th tee he was welcomed by a pitched up tent and 3 snoring half wit teenagers inside it!
