Hey guys,
I have been looking for some new irons, i have found a very good deal on a set of irons but they only have stiff shafts left, i am not sure wether or not my swing is fast but do you think it would make that much of a difference to regular shaft?
Thanks for any advice :)

If your in any doubt about what speed you swing, and what shaft you need you should definately get fitted. You are going to pay more money but you will guarantee they will be right for you

If you can find a trial club from another manufacturer but with the same shaft in then you can try that and you'll get an idea. Best advice though is to get fitted.

What type of shaft is it?

How far do you carry your 6 iron through the air?

The shaft that the new club has is dynamic gold stiff,
I carry my 6 iron 150 metres. I currently have dynamic gold reg i think!
Also i cant try it, a) because the irons are online and withen my budget and b) here in germany there is no where to try any irons
Thanks :)

I think that distance would suggest that stiff is possibly a good fit, but it would be wise to try something with TTDG Stiff first.

Other things I would take into account are how high you hit the ball, and whether you can control it. Stiff shafts will hit the ball lower, so if you already hit it low, that could be a problem. If you hit the ball with a hook sometimes, may also suggest the current clubs are a little soft.

Well worth going for the custom fit. As far as shafts go I was diagnosed as needing a stiff one (hooray, says the wife) and the main emphasis was on swing speed but ball flight was taken into account as well. Despite my many years away from the game I took to the stiff shafts like the proverbial duck to water and as long as I make decent contact it's pretty much a straight shot every time.
