You will need about 3 other people as intrested as you in doing it , youl need to have a meeting of people intrested & select a committee o'wise it wil be all left to you & as OS said itl ruin your enjoyment.. Stick up a notice in work that your looking for names of people intrested , arrange a meeting & set it up then .. DO NOT try to do it on your own itl drive you around the twist ,, Keep the prizes simple for the first few outings to get h'caps sorted, o'wise youl have guys winning with massive scores & that'l p other members off, it will also discourage cheating ..
Bladeplayer's made very valid points, and I'd agree with them all.
I've set one up at work, with 45 members. At the two events we've done, we had 6 then 12. Don't be surprised when loads of people can't make it.
Also, if the club wants a deposit and you don't need it from everyone, keep track of who paid and who didn't, and ask everyone to bring cash on the day to pay (the difference for those who paid the deposit and the full amount for those who didn't).
beck, the way i run mine was to charge people £20 deposit. Most clubs normally require £10.00 per head deposit which is normally due one week prior to the event. If a player confirmed they would be playing their £10.00 deposit for that event would come from their £20.00 balance, if they pulled out tuff titty. They would then need to top up their deposit again to £20.00 before they could put their name down for the next meet. If they wanted to leave they got their £20.00 back.
This way you are never out out pocket for any events. Some clubs will charge you full price per head if you cancel any slots within that week prior, just make it clear that if they cancel within that week and you pick up any costs, its down to them to refund you the costs, plus top their balance back up to £20.00.
