Evening all,

Being best man at my Bezzie mates wedding, I obviously have the thankless task of organising the weekend to end all weekends.

His 1st choice is Ibiza but the dates we have are 3rd, 4, 5th August which is peak season and means everyone spending upwards of £300 just to get there and have a bed to sleep in.

Can I please hae any help, suggestions and tips you may want to offer up.

Location is flexible (cheap euro weekend not out of the question) but dates aren't. Want to try and steer clear of the cliche stag locations (Prague, Amsterdam etc) if possible but won't rule them out.

Cheers fellas

Riga, some of the guys in work went there and said it was cracking ,full of young ladies willing to take your money of you.

i went to prague year before last on a stag do and had a whale of a time! so cheap there about 50p a pint of lager which was good.
why not somwhere like magaluf? or somewhere else in spain like salou for example. All quite big party places to be fair and shouldnt break the bank. How about somehwere like malia which seems to be a bit of an "in" destination at the moment?

or if your doing this country Butlins do an over 18s weekender and that is a good crack did that last year for a stag doo. or just do like everyone else and come down to newquay haha

Bournemouth is good , lots of pubs and clubs that go into the early hours , relax on the beach day time or a choice of 26 or more clubs in a small area to play in , Meyrick park do a lodge , 1st tee is 25 yards away and town centre is a 10 min walk , weather in august is always good , get a train down from anywhere ............best of luck

I wouldn't rule Prague out,it's a fantastic city and one I have been to many a time including 4 times with the boys where we frequent the races for the day.....a real bargain day, entry and belly full of drink for less than £20!!

Sadly I think the races take a break when you would be there!

Riga Steve? May look into that, was going to organise Dutch Open as my best man duties but he's not allowed away the week before the big day (man or a mouse?Pass the cheese please!!) then it was Irish Open but getting hotels is a nightmare so feck it let's stop trying to fool her we are going to take in some golf and just go and get rubbered among some cheap clunge.

does it have to be abroad, there are loads of log cabins you cant stay in. big cargo do want you want in piece, phone in carryouts girls etc:thup:

Nope, can be in the British isles

Infact, can anyone recommend cheap but ok accomm in Dublin? Guinness tour is always good for some Craic ;)

I love Prague, don't get me wrong! If I did it I would organise it myself rather than a "stag package." I think

mrs went dublin last year on a hen doo they paid about £28 a night for some apartments. She said they loved it although drinkin in general was pricey. They all did the guiness tour which she loved although she came back with a taste or guiness much to my dismay in the local its £3.80 a pint lol

You're probably cheaper going to Ibiza than Dublin.

Wouldn't touch Dublin with a barge pole, rip of capital of the world , 7 euro a guinness, try Cork or Belfast. I'm sure Dodger and his squad went to Cork, you can get decent priced flights as well, just stay away from Dublin.

We went to Limerick a few years ago one of the best drinking weekends we've had.

Can't recommend Magaluf highly enough.
We stayed at HM Martinique, 5 mins walk from all the chaos. Digs were about £11 per person
per night, you can get All inclusive for an extra £15 (roughly) per day. Worth it for the bevvy alone! Nightlife is brilliant, weather will be great in August too...few golf courses nearby if any your
group fancies a round.

Top input gents. Exactly the info I was looking for! Prague is looking more and more appealing having just done a quick reckie of the place I stayed last time I was there - 12 quid a night and flights less than £200.

Cork was superb and if memory serves me right the Murphy's was only 4 euro a jar.

Looks like, after 4 days of exhaustive searching we are off to.....wait for it........Bydgoszcz!!:mmm:

Poland for the Speedway World Cup in July. Never heard of Bydgoszcz, couldn't tell you how to pronounce it but it's got cheap flights, cheap beer, cheap hotel rooms and a sporting event to go to so it's number 1 choice at the moment!!

I went on a stag doo weekend in Yarmouth, had a narrow boat for the weekend for 8 people, it's the only form of transport you can drink sail. Great fun, we were dressed as pirates when we went out on the town. We were given a map of all the pubs on the way so mored up at every opportunity. Ended up being £150 each I think, paying for the stag too.

black stuff over there is much much better then over here , why i dont know but it sure is
