Hi Guys,

Syr and I are planning to get a round in on either the 4th or the 5th or the 11th or the 12th of June at South Winchester.

Is anyone interested in making it up to a four ball?

The round will be after 2pm on one of those four days, if anyone has any interest in joining us please let me know by Saturday at the latest as I cannot book more than two weeks in advance and it is a popular busy course.

Thanks for arranging this Tom, hopefully some other forumers in the area are available to play too.

I'm looking forward to playing this course again with you. It will be interesting to see how 'links' like the course plays after such a dry start to the year. Also it will be good to see how your game is coming along! I hope I can find a few more fairways this time.

£27 as far as I know, member guest rates, I assume I can have 3 guests :D

I am looking to book for the 11th or 12th after 2pm currently. I am at the club all weekend so I should easily get a slot.

Anyone else want to join to make it a 4 ball?

No takers eh? I still doubt the place has been filled so I can investigate at the club if someone does want to join.

Also Sawtooth,SyR can you confirm?

Sadly the rain defeated us today. We managed to get 9 holes in before we decided to call it a day. The course did well to cope with all the rain but as we were coming up the 9th we could see that the 18th green had small puddles forming on it and there were a family of ducks and ducklings enjoying the puddles!

The golf wasn't too bad, with each of us having some good shots to make it worthwhile. I struggled on the greens as I found it hard to judge how the ball would react to the damp patches. Tom was having some issues off the tee but was scrambling well to build up a nice lead by the 9th.

Thanks to Tom for arranging it, hopefully our next game, we'll see better weather!

Driving was very hard indeed today with the wet conditions, I did however managed to put backspin on my 3 rescue though! It was not the wet soaked soppy spongy green, it was my immense skill!!!

SyR hit some good shots, neither of us really drove well but his approach play was good! I expect the next game we play will be much better!

Thanks again SyR for the game, was fantastic fun and it was sad the rain ended things early. Glad it was free :D

What's worse is the weather today was quite nice. I sat in my office today while the sun was shining.
