So which is it?

Is it a continuation of the beeb's infatuation with Manchester United (or in this case Man Utd-lite) or a genuinely good decision?

One of the talksport presenters was fairly unequivocal in his opinion earlier. I'm inclined to agree with him.

Deffo infatuation, all thing related to the rags am not interested in, but how comes FC Manchester didn't get this much attention or financial support from the Beeb.
Oh that's because it's anti Man Yoo.

Not sure I see the issue. Salford were one of the stand out performers of round one and this has a potential to be another giant killing so why not. Of course the side show just adds piquancy and gives them a news story to hang onto

What about the other clubs who caused a surprise in the first round? Salford City received the financial boost of being televised in round one, now they are receiving it again. Why not one of the other clubs? Who probably need the money. It all seems very convenient what with the involvement of the ex Man U players.

I did say "one" of the stand out performers and yes it would be be good to spread it about. However, and I'm not sure, but don't the BBC do some sort of "road to Wembley" where they follow one team from round one, and then the side who beats them etc until we get to Wembley. Would make sense. I haven't seen the TV schedules, are their any other non-league clubs being shown

Viewing figures pure and simple because of the ex Utd boys.

If its anything like their last game it will be a cracking watch.
Needs a good ref too that understands football is a mans game.

Good point. I know refs get a fair bit of stick, especially on here, but the guy who did the first round game, got it absolutely spot on and let the players tackle. Made a pleasant change to see and no-one fallen over at the slightest touch

Would like to see the love/ money spread around a bit. If Salford get to the third round guarantee they will be on again.

£76500 paid to each team for the live game in the 1st round of the FA Cup. £7650 per team for an extended highlights package which I think is what my lot got from the game away at Wealdstone. I can only assume that this will increase for the 2nd round live match. Does seem a little unfair on the other non league clubs that Salford will be picking up another big pay day especially as they are already one of the biggest spenders in non league football.

I could be imagining it but something tells me they follow the winners all the way through.
Picking Salford was easy as the documentary was on. Now they've won, their next game gets shown and in the next round the winners of that match get followed.
