didnt feel great b4 i got there as back was stiff (from moving and lifting all my gear for the weekend pc tent etc) especially trying to find the way walking to the course and coming up against locked gates a cpl of times
but i just thought id go out and enjoy it anyway, 11:08 not a great start time in the heat but wth its a game of golf
not off to a gr8 start a triple bogey 8
followed by a few pars including one drove into water i didnt know was there, drop, pitch and holing putt & a bogey another par followed by a birdie after hitting a 6i for my 2nd into the par 5 to 10-12 feet and lipping out for eagle and finishing 3" behind the hole tap in birdie
and then bogey par i think to finish +4 40 (ive left the card in my tent so im going off memory)
back 9 bogey par par then a 7 DB after driving ob as i rushed as i was being let through
then par lipping out again for birdie
then bogey
and finished par par birdie for 38 2nd half +7 78
didnt hit the ball solidly driving and i rushed around a bit
5 groups let me through on my 2h 45min-ish round
enjoyed it though despite the poor start didnt let it affect me
the fairways were a little hard to try and hit off partly the reason for the 8 at the beginning as i hit 3rd a very little bit heavy and it went nowhere
they really could do with not trimming the fairways so tight
im looking forward to the game on saturday as knowing the course now should save me a cpl of shots too & hopefully my back should be better (hopefully)
