So I bought a rather cheap pair of winter shoes...

Before the current pair of Contours I have always bought bargain shoes as I know that I do not take care of them. Even then I get a couple of years out of them. For £30 I have had pairs of Nike (a bit narrow in the fit), Addidas (the same), Hi-Tec (good shoes), Stylo (very good shoes) and Bite (awful things).

If I took care of my shoes I would spend more but I am realistic so buy cheaper ones.

See my link in the review section for a cracking deal on Nike shoes. Champion deal.

My last two pairs have been Stuburt, cheaper brand (you can pick them up real cheap on ebay) but I've had no complaints at all.
I really wanted a set of Stuburt Helium Tours and had ordered a pair through our pro shop, turns out the local supplier has stopped doing them and online seems a little hard to get hold of too, either long lead times or just too expensive. The Hitecs look a little similar (not just as detail-y) which is why I went for them, price was a fantastic bonus.

Look at those bad boys... One day my lovelies, one day.

Package arrived earlier, opened it to find my shoebox, another box and a massive catalogue.
Tried the shoes on and have to say they feel better than I had expected, not plasticky, no glue overruns and spikes that can be directed whatever direction you want. Very happy with what I received, time will tell if they better than my old year-old wrecked dryjoys. The other box contained a big free mug (massive in fact, not far off a pint), will do just the job in the office. :)
