so , i have just returned from comfortably my best ever round...

gross +8 , (80) which included 3 birdies and 3 DOUBLES! hit 11 greens , 9 fairways and 30 putts , and a lot of the missed greens were a result of penaltys

i struck the ball beatifully all day with my new irons , missing only 2 greens with them ( both 4 irons)

my highlights were...

1st : 403yrds , driver - 5 iron to 10 feet and holed the putt -1

3rd : 331yrds , perfect driver leaving a half pw , which i pulled badly left , chip on and 2 putt , level par

4th : 362yrds big dogleg left , perfect drive which drew round the corner into the middle of the fairway , then a perfect 9 iron to 5 feet an hold the putt , back to -1

17th : 359yrds , another big dogleg right , driver , then a slightly pulled 8 iron which left a 20ft putt , with a huge left-right break , and it went in the middle of the cup

18th : 483yrds par 5 : avarage drive so layed up with a pw just short of the water in perfect position , then fatted a 3 hybrid into the water resulting in double bogey.

so i was so close to getting my first ever round in the 70's

anyone else had a good round today ?

haha , i got 41 pts in the comp last sunday and got cut to 19.8 , got another one this sunday so hopefully get another cut !
