The funny thing about the break was that he had to pot a pink and not the black after one of the reds so it would not have been a 147 (excluding the free ball and black).

Yep, that will follow him around forever, no matter what else he wins, including the WC.
Steve Davis won 6 WC's including the absolute destruction of John Parrot 18-3 in 1989, but no-one ever mentions that.
All that ever gets mentioned is Dennis Taylor beating hin in 1985 and the black he missed to let it happen...
