Sky TV profits have clearly increased!

i think i'm going to do the old trick of pretending i'm leaving to get a discount,
if they're making all that money...

I pay about £90 a month with Virgin but that includes phone and broadband. I really feel I have to have some form of pay TV as there is next to nothing that I would watch on terrestial channels (Sherlock is about the only decent thing on BBC at the moment). The thing with Virgin is that I get ESPN as part the package at no cost and as I mainly want to watch rugby it is great. The downside is that I do not get Sky Atlantic and that looks like it has some top series on it.

Getting near time to play one off against the other and see what deal I can get.

mines £60 a month and thats top broadband, unlimited evening and weekend landline calls, sky tv and sports upgrade.i wont be changing, £60 seems a lot but &0% of the tv i watch is sports on sky

I got into sky just for the choice of hd channels and I must admit it makes a massive difference. I struggle to watch not hd programmes nowadays. Sport in hd is simply amazing. £870/yr though. But I would say that what I get is worth more than 5 times the BBC that I'm forced to pay £145.

I fear for what Sky are going to do after August when their price freeze ends.

I think they are going to rehaul the breakdown of packages and make it harder (more expensive) to get the all in package.

Going by one survey I took part in it looks like it could be bye bye movies for me.

Back to OT - I like the new shot centre and hopefully they will be able to give some decent tips using it during the season. Now only if they still had Di.....

Our Sky bill is approx £90/month, that includes Movies/sport/kids/documentaries/telephone and web. Still comes in at some whopping figure like £1100/annum but it's cheaper than having all seperates.

Already discussed the sky subs etc in another thread yesterday, I like the new studio - very impressive and i quite like Simon Holmes & Denis Pugh too. Hopefully theyve got Andrew Coltart booked up for a few events too.
Seemingly the whole Sky Sports news crew are in a new location/studios.

If the new Golf Studio for 2012 is anything to go by! Pointlessly elaborate and means more time having to watch Simon Hughes and Dennis Pugh analyse the pro's swings and various shots enabling them to show off their new driving simulator! Wouldn't mind it if they paid some decent analysts to do it! At least it would seem their committed to a decent amount of golf coverage. Not surprised they're making money with the amount I pay in subscription fees!;)

It's the late night channels that are causing the hike in price.... ;-)

Get rid of Simon Holmes and surely its job done. I actually like the way Dennis Pugh analysis the swing and he doesn't make it too technical for the armchair punter to follow. Nithing wrong with a bit of gadgetry. Just look at Neville on MNF. The studio isn't too bad and surely its down to the presenter(s) and "experts" to provide the link between the pictures and fill the gaps.

I think the golf needs an overhaul of the guest analysers but other than that I'm happy. We pay around £80 for all everything (sports, movies, documentaries etc) including an extra subscription for the TV in the bedroom

I have to admit the only one I do not care for is Hawksworth!!

I even find old rubber lips Holmes okay and like the fact Roe can be a tad prickly!

I watch way too much golf on t.v. so maybe they have all just numbed my mind with the exception of that fud Hawksworth.

I couldn't sit in those chairs, one shank away from from my maker.:mmm: I assume the technical stuff is to fill in for the US adverts every two minutes.

What happened to the new women that was starting ?
