Anyone else had or having problems with Skytalk?
For two days now, no phone line. No dialling tone, no rings. If I phone home from my mobile or work I get the ringing tone on the phone I'm using but the home phone is not ringing.
My broadband connection is running at half speed too.
Contacted Sky yesterday, they ran some checks (apparantly) and the girl rang me back to say it is a problem at the exchange and that things will be back to normal by this afternoon. But reading the Sky forums this seems like a normal "bullshit" response they give to anyone phoning up and complaining about the same thing.
 
Still got bloody problems.
No dial tone, no ringing tone, haven't been able to use the landline since last Thursday.
Broadband speed has also dropped to half of what I was getting.
Another call to Sky and I'm told "it's a problem with the exchange and we're waiting for a response from BT"
What a crock of shite

Who bills you for your line rental Smiffy?

If it's Sky then they own the line and will have their own contract with Openreach.

Sky do.
But it's the same line we had when we were with BT, which still comes out of the exchange owned by BT.
Surely BT are then still liable for problems at the exchange?
 
If you rent the line off Sky, it's up to them to sort it...my broadband is with Sky but I rent the line from BT specifically because of times like this. When we had a problem with the line BT came out the next day & fixed it...Sky would have taken ages to come out.
