SKY charging additional fees for Premier League

Out of interest, as I do not know, have the live matches on subscription already been announced or is there any suggestion that prime matches are being moved to pay per view?
I mentioned this a whole back.

They have allocated first half of year. Think they then do two more rounds around as and then for end of season.

So it'll be interesting to see. I think they'll go as normal l, but I reckon they've considered it.

They have an obligation to show a certain number of matches involving each club, but the games are announced in stages as the season develops so that they can follow the title race and the relegation battle.

So, they have apparently announced that all games will be available Free To Air...

As a subscriber to Virgin, I've got Sky, BT Sport & the BBC covered. But I haven't got Amazon Prime, so just let me get this right; in order to get all the free matches, I have to take out another subscription... How long before Netflix, which I also don't have, get on the bandwagon?

Someone please explain to me how I'm better off having to take out more subscriptions to a whole heap of :poop: that I don't want, rather than picking and choosing the PPV games that I do want, because frankly I'm not seeing it.

This was from project restart

I believe it's going to be the same now so you shouldn't need to be a member to get it

Edit better article

Martin Lewis website says they will update this article when they have confirmation that the games are free again so watch that space

I don't think netflix will join the bandwagon

Amazon had sports before all this and had shown some games over Xmas last year was it? I remember watching west ham Vs palace on its service one boxing day I believe

The platform for them is already there. As is the BBC etc where as netflix aren't built for it and takes ages to make any money

For example Disney plus launched this year and they expect to not make a profit for 4 years I believe I read somewhere due to the cost of setting up the servers . Platform etc

Netflix have their massive market in TV box sets and movies I don't think their interested in sports but could change one day ofc.

Games were already on amazon prime before the PPV was discussed or started (like theyre on Sky Sports and BT Sports), it was one of the package of games sold when the rights were last done. There have already been games solely on amazon prime, this hasnt changed at all. And you can still stream these games from free on the prime app without being a member

Youre better off because all games are available and all games are free, not £15 :)

Now the splintering of tv rights across multiple platforms because skys monopoly is bad for the fans is a totally different argument ;)
