Played a game of skins at my new club on Wednesday.I got a bit confused as to which holes i received shots on,my handicap is 20.Is there a way of working this out.Is it something to do with the si rating of the hole?

Off 20, you get a shot on every hole SI 3-18 and 2 shots on holes rated SI 1 and 2.
I was surprised to hear that the SIs at my course are not updated according to the average shots taken over a given period.....how odd.....how else would it be done??
The third hardest hole (for me, and for many) was SI 14 and they changed it to 4 by swapping it with 4....

real. there is a formula for working it out, its not just a case of taking the hardest hole and making it no 1 and so on, dont think you are allowed to have si1 in the first 5 or last 5 holes.
