I have a corporate bash (no pun intended!) there next month and wondered if anyone had played it, and if so, what did they think?

Thanks in advance,
Ian

3 x 9 hole loops.
Lakes, River and Valley.
Some reasonable holes, some crap.
My favourite 9 is the Valley I suppose.
Always in reasonable condition and a decent enough "society" course, but it's not the kind of venue I'd rush back to.
Food is good though. In fact the food is fantastic.
I would go back after all
:p :p :p :p :p :p

Thanks Rob....Company "do" = free golf and free food - I'm loving it already (except for the water :( )

Played many times, as Smiffy says some good and some average holes. To get off to a decent start, its better to start on the Lake course (big open fairway!). The River 1st has a nice pond within sliced driver range and a brook to negotiate for your second. The Valley 1st is pretty straightforward but a slice can end in a lost ball (from experience!)

Condition is usually OK - they tend not to use temporary tees and greens throughout the winter so the ground must drain well.

It is a fair test and well suited to a society - hope you have good weather and enjoy the day! :)

You should have a good day, nice course for a corporate day.
River and Lake are the most popular two loops. The valley loop a bit bland and boring.

Nice clubhouse and the food is excellent and served by lovely waitresses! :o :D

Have a good day. :)

Golfmmad.

Food is great. Course is distinctly average. That said, as it ages it is improving.

You will have a good day as long as it isn't after a period of rain. It sits on a clay subsoil and as a result, does not drain and turns to a quagmire.

It is a 5 out of 10 place but enjoyable all the same.
