How much of a knob is this guy....
Im slowly but surely really getting to detest him....

There are leading money list players playing in the states and he's tearing there swing to bits and telling the kind folk at home whats wrong with them

Ok so he's a coach but for gods sake at least say something that borders on the positive side for a player.

not a fan of all 3 on there at the mo I have to say

actually prefer the live commentators over the studio ones which is rare for the PGA tour for me

My thoughts exactly G1....
He ripped Donalds swing apart and he's No.1.....I cant imagine he got there with a half assed swing!

i just saw that, simpsons must be doing something right

shame they can't get butch harmon on more often, always got something interesting to say

I reckon Luke should post his swing on here and WE'LL show him where he's going wrong!! Wonder if he's tried the headcover drill......:D

if he did and Bob kew we wouldnt hear the last of it

do any pro's own a v-easy :)

I can understand them picking flaws with a swing on a struggling player but not the 2 money leaders on the tour.

Seems like they are one trick ponies as generally only seem to criticise. Although did you see donalds shot from the base of a tree before... awesome technique

Aw stop....Unbelieveable.....He may as well have used a snooker cue it was that accurate.

funny, but I've been reading Kelvin Miyhira's blog and he makes some interesting notes, that proffessionals tend to swing with athletic efficiency, but then that doesn't always fall inline with the teaching model.

To back up his basic point he shows tigers swing when he was really good and compares it to when he was doing not great and points out that the swings fits the conventional logic (straight back, straight arm etc etc) but the player is struggling......

In esscence the teaching may not be correct for the pupil and every swing is different!

Really makes you wonder......

The swing is waaaaay more complicated then it looks......I'm only now starting to appreciate the task ahead ;) but hey I'm actually loving it!!!

Cheers
Andy

Andy Coltart every day on Sky.

I'll agree with you there Craw turning into a great presenter,Simon Holmes (who ?) ,was asked about Webb Simpsons swing he said the only good thing was he never fell over, listen here fatboy he's won $6.2 million so far this season, get a grip.

Holmes definitely isn't up to the job. At least guys like Mark Roe got out there and won and I like Roe for callingit how it is. No fence sitting for him. Not a fan of Coltart as he trys to be too smart in his replys and comes over as cocky and smarmy to me

WHAT WHAT WHAT!

Roe is a smarmy bitter so and so! Roe and Holmes will be the reason I give up Sky TV!

I must say I am not a fan of the endless criticism of technique. In the cricket analysis they show and praise the good things as well as the bad and it is very instructive as they explain how someone bowls an outswinger or plays a particular shot. Mostly it is top ex-players like Holding, Botham and Atherton. That is fine. But with the golf there are some commenators who are just coaches or mediocre players who just seem to want to show off their knowledge by picking holes in players. I think Butch is better at highlighting the good stuff.

Wasn't there a top pro a fair few years back who said something about never taking advice from someone who couldn't beat him on the course (Player? Hogan?)

I can't stand Mark Roe

Add me to that ever growing list. Gods gift to golf, the fountain of all knowledge, or so he likes to make out. Holmes is about on par with him!

I suppose that if a golf coach liked every players swing he wouldn't get work changing them! To criticise Luke Donald's swing is, to me, utter lunacy but if Luke thinks he would like a new swing I would be happy if he did a "buy it now" on Ebay!

Someone on here referred to Holmes as a plastic faced puppet before. I must admit after watching him it seems to be a good description of the man. As for Roe..............
