Should We Feel Sorry for Tiger?

You could be talking about brad Pitt, similar situation, married to a cracking girl made no difference or indeed any number of Hollywood actors and rock stars. People in Tigers position do not have to follow the same path as Joe Average. How many of us would leave home tomorrow if we were financially able to do it and live exactly the same lifestyle. There is a vast difference between having millions in the Bank to pay off the missus and pay for the kids college fund and put a more than a few millions aside for them to make sure they are ok and normal people who have a split mortgage and car loans overdrafts, credit card debts etc. If she doesn't forgive him so what he can get almost any woman he wants and she wont go without either. They will both soon get over it and move on.

Just throwing the idea of reasons for the behaviour out there, if the guy is a serial adulterer, takes various 'get off your face' drugs and mooches about with a face like thunder for the past 3 years or so then the idea that there may be some psychological reasons for recent events doesn't seem that far off the mark does it?

Tiger is without question the best golfer ever to hit a ball, but his behaviour on the course, and now off the course, shows that he is not an asset to the game of golf. His general demeanour on the course, and his spitting etc. only indicates that even if he should exceed Jack's tally of 18 majors, he will never be held is such high esteem as Jack Nicklaus. Jack will always be greater that Tiger.

Sadly marital infidelity is nothing new either in everyday life or the pampered world of planet celebrity. Is it right? No? Can it be condoned? Possibly. I guess the question is whether his wife is prepared to swallow her pride in the glare of publicity and stand by her man or get a crack team of leagal experts and go for the maximum payout.

Whatever the rights or wrongs, either in normal life or celbrity, if the infidelity only affected the lifes of the betrayed and the betrayer then to a certain degree big deal but when kids are involved then I'm afraid my sentiment changes and I have little sympathy for anyone that upsets and involves families. As for the moral high ground lets just say my viewpoint comes from a family history and that I'm not for one second saying I'm whiter than white

Sooner or later, he's going to haul his sorry backside onto the course and play in front of the people and cameras (unless he quits). As a man who to me has lacked any sense of humility over the years, I expect/hope to see a different Tiger over the coming years. You can't pretend to be invincible and perfect (or close to it) when the world knows you are neither.

He'll just have to be himself. If he does this, I will almost certainly become of the greatest Tiger fans of all time.

Put it this way, in my line of work, the most arrogant and dislikeable folk nearly always get brought down a peg or two eventually. Sometimes it's sad to see, others it's the making of people as "people" as opposed to some "ego" tied up in their own opinion of themselves.

I have not really followed this story about TW.

but correct me if i am wrong but apart from 1 statement on his website he has said or "his people" have said very little about the whole thing and it is all just media speculation.

Do you work for his PR company or something? Following on from your assertion that he is a victim of domestic abuse (which you still argued despite being given the industry defintion of what it is), you now seem to think that we should feel sorry for an unbelievably privileged individual who in your eyes appears to be married to a psychotic Swede and that's why he spent years knobbing around the circuit?

As we don't actually know anything factual I don't think any of us are able to really comment without wild speculation.

I find it funny how whenever there is a celebrity that has had infidelities (plural) there is always a cocktail waitress and more often than not a porn star involved, where do they get these people from, its almost as if the papers have a supply of them on payroll.
