Will there be a difference between cutting down the length of your driver shaft as against just choking down on it?

I haven't really tried a shortened driver - but choking down on it seems to give a better sense of control.

Will it be the same for shortened drivers?

more or less the same , the only thing you need to watch is choking down you are into the thinner part of the grip and may affect your release .

with a shorter shaft you are gripping normal grip size.
