Hi everyone,

I’ve just obtained an new old stock Nike Vapor Speed 3 iron and it doesn’t have a shaft band.

I’m sure it’s a regular shaft and the etched number at the butt confirmed this I think. But I can’t find any further clues as to manufacturer or model. I realise the end is the date of manufacture.

The code is:
CPI-1007 R 610102420 152507 ‘16.7.27. AK

Can anyone shed some light? Pic attached.

Thanks in advance.

From a quick Google it certainly looks like a KBI CPI shaft, where 1007 is the type of steel and 'R' means regular stiffness.

I'd guess 16.7.27 is the manufacture date (27th July 2016) as it seems the irons came out a few months earlier.

No idea what the rest of the numbers are though.

One of the things I can tell you is that one of the shafts used was a True Temper Dynalite and those markings are not True Temper markings so go with the flow.
