Seve at St Andrews?

I really hate the way they wheel out formerly great players for the honorary tee-off at Atlanta; it's become a mockery.

So if he is fit enough to play the 4 holes, then yes but not just the 18th.

What are the crowds like on the ex-Champions 4 hole day - presumably the Wednesday? Someone as great as Seve deserves to bow out in front of as many people as possible. I reckon that most (if not all) of the European Tour players will be there by the 18th green to witness it and see him home. I agree with the others about there not being a pair of dry eyes in the house. I'm welling up just thinking about it.

Spanish Golf Federation president Gonzaga Escauriaza said that Ballesteros is doing well , he started playing again last summer but radiotherapy and chemotherapy had weakened him. Now he his getting better and better and would love to be on the first tee for the four hole tournament, adding “He will probably be there."

He certainly deserves to be there, and I for one pray that he makes it.
